HMMA Update from August 12th

At 1059 a report came in about a seal hauled out at Kaluahole Beach right passed Kaimana Beach. Steve responded and ID Kaiwi (RK96) by tags K96/K97. NOAA was notified about her location. At 1625 Steve checked back reporting Kaiwi was successfully vaccinated at 1600, she departed back into the water. At 1811 a report came in about a U/U seal that was seen swimming at Iroquois Point. The seal was initially sighted around 1630. The seal was described as a large seal with tags. An ID could not be made. The seal departed the cove and swam west. No further word.
