Marilyn had to go to the mine(??) early this morning so there was no morning Kawena check, however I ran into Jon & Melissa at China Walls this afternoon and they advised that Kawena was near the birth beach at AD today.On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0615 I found what would prove to be Aukai (RL12), up in the Morning Glory at 1BS. She was still there when I got back at 0800, and would remain all day.
At 0825 what would turn out to be Kala (RH76) hauled out at Rocky Right Beach on RI, and move up and into the vegetation, later moving back down, but hiding behind the water front rocks.
Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove, at 0615. Pohaku’s new caretakers, Cheryl, Dillon&Rudy took care of her until the Billands arrived.
A Dr. Tom text at 0745 brought word of PO5 at the Keiki Pond, Turtle Bay.
Diane G., and Karen T., also spent quality time with PO5 at at the Keiki Pond today. Thank you for the shots.
