Beverly and Mary checked in from the Mokuleia pup site after their morning shift. When they arrived 2 local spear fishermen were in the SPZ, we requested that they start their dive from an area down the beach. The men respectfully moved to an area away from mom and pup. Nihoa (R912) and pup were on beach resting and nursing from 0800 to 1000. After the pup nursed, they went for a swim and hauled out back on the beach around 1100.
