HMMA Update from June 25th
At 1814 Marilyn Checked in with a report of a seal hauled out East of Lanai Lookout. Later DB ID'ed the seal as Kolohe (RW22) by natural bleach. At 1348 Gina checked in via email with a report of large net at the Alan Davis pup site. South Sector Manager Jon was notified. He went down to the location to access the situation. A DOCARE officer came to remove the net. Kaiwi (RK96) and pup were not disturbed during the net removal. Kaiwi and pup went out for a swim lesson and climbed around the rocks. They eventually settled on the beach around 1400. A Big Mahalo to Gina, Jon, and DOCARE for assuring Kaiwi and pup's safety.
