The morning began at 0616 with a report of a seal hauled out at Kaimana Beach. No ID could be made. No further word on an ID.At 1038 Right Spot (R016) was reported at Moku Nui. The ID was made by her natural bleach mark. The caller was concerned about the substance by Right Spots back flippers. Tracy from the Science Center advised it was feces.
At 1050 DB checked in after being advised of RW22 at Lanai Lookout. ID was made by tag.
Carola checked in with an email report after her shift at the Mokuleia pup site advising at 1500 a seal attempted to haul out in the SPZ. Nihoa (R912) vocalized and eventually chased the seal away. No ID was made.
North Sector Manager Don checked in via email after checking the Turtle Bay area and reported Holokai (RG40) at Kahuku Point around 1700.
