7-11-11 Outreach in Nanakuili
As part of the ongoing cultural outreach with NOAA, HMSRTO and the cultural practitioners, Kehau Souza and I did a training on the beach program today with the Nanakuili Canoe Paddlers. Auntie's and Uncles were especially warm and welcoming and shared lots of Aloha. Some very good questions about the monk seals and as always learning some much needed cultural information from Kehau.
All in all we had around 50 participants. It was very informal, and we had people from the beach park that wandered into the program, brought their children, and gathered around to listen. Have attached some pictures of today's training. Pretty cool afternoon after the stressful Max saga. --
