Mark Your Calendar - March 16th 7:00 PM

NOAA Fisheries Pacific Island Region Marine Mammal Response Network consists of cetacean and monk seal response in the main Hawaiian Islands, Northwest Hawaiian Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. In Hawaii, two primary entities, Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) and the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH), have NOAA Fisheries authorization to respond to cetacean strandings. HPU is designated to respond to and sample dead stranded cetaceans and UHH is designated to respond to and care for live cetaceans with the goal of release back to the wild. Please join HPU and UHH on March 16, 2011 for an informational talk titled: "Whale & Dolphin Response in Hawai‘i: Rescue and Recovery".

When: Wednesday, March 16th @ 7:00pm

Where: Front Lanai , Academic Center Building, Hawai‘i Pacific University (Windward Campus)
