I had quite a crowd at Rabbit Island today. At 0710, from the Makapuu Overview, I could see M38 to the right of 1BS, where he has spent the last 4 days and 3 nights. When I got down to Makai Pier at 0722 I found that there was a gang of 4 in a tight group to the right of 3BS. It would prove to be Buster, Sadie, Kolohe and Duke.
Buster,Kolohe and Duke all entered the water, with Kolohe in the lead, at 1034 and did a swim/play session, ranging from 3BS to 1BS. It all came to an end at 1235 when Mr. Personality, M38, horned in on the session.
He alerted to the presence of the other 3 as the played, fronting his location. He immediately ran Buster off and M38 and the youngsters played until 1250 when Kolohe and Duke hauled out together to the left end of the beach. Kolohe would reentered the water at 1253 and hauled out again, at 1258, 100 ft right of 3BS. M38 would haul out at 1258 to mid Middle Cliff area, and Buster hauled out to Seal Rock Inlet at 1248. All would stay at those locations for the remainder of the day.
At 1000 , on a pan, I found Sam just moving out from behind the dune, 40 ft left of 1BS. He would move down to cool off, and remained there by himself the rest of the day.
