They called again at 1129,to report that Rocky and Kermit were on the right side of the Nimitz jetty.

The lanai at Makai Research Pier was an impossible place to be today. The SE quadrant waves were huge, and the lanai was being regularly drenched from waves impacting the breakwater. Most of today's observations were done from Kaupo Beach Park. At 1023 , Mikala, the one and only Rabbit Island resident today, hauled out just left of 1BS, and moved up into the Morning Glory. I tried MP again at 1300 and got a quick look from the lanai to confirm that Mikala was the only animal, but then got the heck outta' there, not wanting to push my luck.
