Volunteers assist NOAA

One by one we all met, got instructions from David Schofield and Charles Littnan. Tracy Wurth, Brenda Becker, Karen Rotner, Karen and Dave Bryan with son Caleb, Tim and Brenda Sparks, Scott and Heidi Weber, Gretchen Garbett, Janae Howell, Brooke Scharrer, Jen Kishimori, Bill and Pam Monahan , Robert and Barbara Billand. We were all prepared to work for a seal known to be a naughty female....RO42. Galvanized pipes were twisted into the ground first, then it was pounded in with a slide hammer, requiring much upper body strength. Next tie all the wire to the pipes and secure the pen. Build another orange fence around the big gauge wire and made a door. We all worked well together and the Project went smoothly. THe weather was great and the tide was low which was perfect for us. Here are some photos taken of our fun morning.
