Its a Girl on Kahoolawe - She's been Tagged

Hello there. I'm trying to remember that folks are interested in all monk seals, not just the Oahu critters. So I wanted to share some pics of the Kahoolawe weaned pup I just tagged on Monday. It's a GIRL! And a feisty one at that. Her new ID is RT02 and she has tags T02 ans T03. Feel free to put these on the blog.

I'm headed to Kauai to tag Rocky's kid next week. Will hopefully get photos to share as well.

    Oh what a great shot of that TO2/T03, charging on the rocks. She is Magnificently gorgeous. (I sound like Steve Irwin). All pups that are weaned are awesome and so clean, scar free, coat so pretty. Appreciate you sharing Tracy. Dont ya love your job????
    I wish we could have some of your signs there....KEEP OUT! MONK SEAL Habitat. For us guys out there on shore, SIGNS play a big part in keeping people away from our beloved Critters. Its too bad all the words come off easily due to sun and surf. Got to figure out a way..to keep those words to weather the elements.
    I sure love pups, they are the future, they are so lovable and strong, I am glad TO2 is a fiesty GIRL!!!!! Good luck sweet creature!

    This Kahoolawe Girl came by to check us out while diving near Olowalu, Maui, Hi, May 29, 2012. Both Tags on are still on her flippers (T02 and T03). Tracy has full info.
