We witnessed you on your day of birth.How excited Rob and I were to see our first Monk Seal Pup!! But we would soon learn, you were tangled on a rock with the placenta.You were freed by NOAA and your BIG DADDY was the one who made the call. Recently you got a huge hook removed,once again noticed by BIG DADDY DB. Oh Kerby, we wish your little life would be different,free of trouble.But we learned MONK SEALS STRUGGLE DAILY. There is danger all the time for you. On your very first birthday, we wish the best and that some how you will have many more birthdays to celebrate. Be careful out there Sweet Kerby. Watch out for those hooks!! You are a very special treasure to us all, and we are most thankful we find you now and then. Happy Birthday W08/W09...Seal ya around!!!
